While the first session of the workshop highlighted the theoretical aspects of humanizing course books, the second session included hand-on practice on applying practical aspects of developing language teaching materials that are sensible, engaging, culturally appropriate and ‘humanistic’. Participants were encouraged to develop and use their own materials featuring activities such as storytelling, folktales, oral texts, role plays, small plays etc. These sessions were moderated by Hosne Al Noor, lecturer, CLS.
